McLean D. Pollock, PhD, MSW, LCSW, NBC-HWC: Dr. Pollock is a public health researcher and clinical social worker who designs and evaluates peer-based social support interventions to promote self-management, emotional health and well-being, and quality of life for adolescents, young adults and family caregivers of youth with special health care needs. Her work includes engagement and evaluation projects to better understand the role of chronic conditions and special health care needs on youths’ development and on the well-being of family caregivers. She is an Associate Professor in Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Duke University School of Medicine, and she leads the Family Partner team and the Western North Carolina Recovery initiative for the North Carolina Psychiatry Access Line (NC-PAL) program.
