About
Kelly Kirk is a dedicated family advocate and child welfare professional with 11 years of personal recovery experience. As a Certified Peer Support Specialist, Recovery Coach, and Alcohol and Drug Counselor, she is passionate about helping others achieve and maintain recovery from Substance Use Disorder and/or mental health issues. Kelly is a nationally Certified Family Peer Specialist. She is the Child Advocacy Center Coordinator and Victim Advocate for the Our House Tri-County Children's Advocacy Center. She is actively involved in North Carolina's State-Level Family Advisory Council and sits on several other county and state-level committees, where she champions family voice, recovery, and systems improvement. She has also shared her expertise through presentations at the 2023 Child Welfare Virtual Expo, the Child Welfare League of America, and Kempe conferences in both 2023 and 2024. Beyond her professional endeavors, Kelly is a proud mother of three adult children and a cat enthusiast.
